Thanks for this wonderful useful information. But uploading games on website (having joomla and pu arcade) seem to be difficult. I do one game at a time. due to the less time it is difficult to upload lot of games! and my users always asks for more and more...

Is there any tool or idea so that I can do it in some easier way (in shortcut)?

well it is planned to eb added soon, but the admin over at puarcade.com has a component that allows ibpro arcade games to be mass imported; check it out.

No, not all games on those sites are necessarily legal.

It remains the responsibility of each arcade operator (you) to verify compliance with game owner/author wishes.

I tried that one. It is one of the most complicated sites I have ever come across. You have to register- okay thats fine...but if you try to play or download it tells you you have to have 2 post to play or download. But- it wont let you post.

It is true though..more than 7,000 games. I just couldn't touch them except to look at their little thumbnails and descriptions. Bummer I was definitely disappointed.

This is realy one of the best sites to download games. You can make a post on the homepage of the forum if you want to play games. The first time you have to make two posts and after that just one for every day you want to download games. You can play games first to see if you like them and then you can download them, or you can download them at ones. They have many subjects to reply to in tere forums so that should't be the problem. The greatest thing is that you can download 40 games a day.
I think its realy a good thing to do to support them!!!

It does have a post for downloads scheme, but their paid plans are pretty good (I paid $12US for 50 downloads a day for four months, which is fine for me because I'd rather not download gigabytes at once and then sift through them).

I specifically asked on their forums, and they make sure to have no illegal games in their collection where possible. Which is a bonus.

Unfortunately I only signed up there due to puarcadegames ceasing to offer downloads (due to illegal games), and now a couple of weeks later puarcadegames are offering free downloads! Free individual downloads, categorised, which is nice. I think they've stopped the mass downloading service though. Not sure if they've sifted out the illegal stuff.

Of course I also signed up because ibpdownloads claim to be 100% legal, which really is a boon if you don't want to worry about your arcade being taken down due to an illegal game.

I agree. This is one of the worst designed CMS's I have ever come across. I have no clue where the forum link is, I have no clue how to do just about anything. I bet I spent a couple of hours on the thing trying to figure out the navigation system. I finally moved on to another site. I hope the owner is in here reading this. Poor CMS/Forum design will hurt your traffic.

I've currently got around 6500 games, 4000 are installed on the arcade (hopefully have the rest installed by the weekend) and are available to download via the arcade frontend using a hack I wrote (which is also available to download free of charge) on a site subscription basis. These charges are purely to cover the server and bandwidth costs which are enormous once people start leeching. One of the packages also includes FTP access for anyone who doesn't want to download the games one at a time.

Its taken me ages to gather all these games which I used to offer previously, when I used IPB arcade, and I just thought I'd share.

The "offer members game downloads hack" is also available there. You must register to gain access to the forums to download.

Although I found games here before for some reason I can not log on to http://www.puarcadegames.com/ I now get this when I try to access the site

I can say its easy for me to get around on but its my site. If you have troubles pm me, post or use the shoutbox. Help is not far away.

Its not a CMS its a forum.

If your having troubles I'd be glad to help you out as with most of my members. Which have just googled to find my site.

I do have over 9,900 games to play and download now.

So please before you knock my site or others ask for help.

I don't want or mean this into a fued, just offering another place to download games.
