Apologies in advance if i shouldn’t be asking you all... but i feel you are a better community of people and very clued up.

I was just reading some of the post on the forum and happened to look at xabaras website and noticed that google now do gadgets.

I was wondering if these are any good? What sort of impact they have on your website? And how you go about adding one into Joomla?

I’ve had a little play around but cannot find anyway to add in the script google provide... i have a feeling it may need to go into the index.php or something similar but obviously i don’t want to do that and screw up my site.

Ok, ive done a search and figure out how to get this working... but would still like to know what sort of impact these gadgets have on a website?

I don't think the impact would be too large on most websites. I think one of the main concerns would be loading time. Sometimes you can even see the Google Ads slowing down your loading speed. If that doesn't appear to be an issue for you, then I think you would be fine.
