I can see from your older posts and questions on here, that this new beta phatyaffle.com is your site right?

So maybe you can share and tell us a little more about the anti cheating tweaks you made? Anything to do with the secure url (https) used on there? Or is this ssl encryption for virtuemart? (if so you should not use it on the whole site)?

what about that com_tournament? is that the same one we can find on some other sports sites you tweaked?

It looks to me like they are not loading the flash game directly, but through a different loader swf. I wonder if this has to do with the anti-cheat functionality.

Not saying it is a full proof anti-cheat, but limits people from from hacking the cache of .swf files.

Encrypted .swf game.
Unencrypts with key/pairs from the site.
Use of Javascript and .swf to unecrypt.

If you really wanted to use softice and other things you could break the encryption.

Second form of anti-cheat is the tournament system. Humans are responsible for saying if the game was played as said (Tournament Directors)

Third form is ELO rating system built in. If somebody starts cheating then nobody will play with them, because their ELO rating is too high.

Tournament system was developed from scratch. Was supposed to only take a month, but ended up taking 4 months to write.

No, we won't be sharing the tournament component. It was a 6 month, 50k project. Anyone care to help pay for it? Didn't think so.

We have contributed a great deal of code at my expense to PUArcade. Pragma can verify. The tournament component, is completly separate and includes a banking system and other integrations...

I don't know what your thinking about your website. From what I see your selling arcade game subscriptions from a free arcade component. Now thats not a very good business in my eyes.

Silverado is one of the biggest contributors to PUArcade.

I have to say he's done more for PUArcade than almost anyone else, so I think we should cut him a little slack.

I really like phat yaffle. It has made extensive modifications to the component and provided extensive support to the PUArcade community. It really shows off what can be done with PUArcade.

What bugs me is the many thousands of web developers that profit from PUArcade and contribute NOTHING. Do you know how many radio stations, towns, etc use PUArcade on their websites? ALOT! How many of them have made any kind of contribution? Approximately 0%.
