To help with eliminating any confusion between the j1.5 and J1.0x versions I'll start this thread. please keep it related to the j1.0 releases.
This is the j1.0xversion 1.3 release. It has all the features of the original release from the 1.5 module. |

One of the things I am working on for after the upcoming PUArcade release is an extensions diretory here that people can upload their PUArcade extensions to.
I don't know about you, but I have a hard time knowing what is available, and where to find it. Especially things like the latest SEF plugins, modules, etc.
Hopefully, you'll post your extension to it once I get it running!

first regular Contest is over. Works fine Only i guess the CB Plugin doesn`t work properly ?
If i check the Profile of the Winner from the first Contest it tells me there in the specific Tab for it, that he has not won a Contest yet.
Maybe a Setup Mistake on my Site or because of joomla 1.0 ?

Hi,
would it be possible to use this module and limit the maximum number of games in the contest for each user? Now every user can play infinite times before the time ends.... but i'd like to set a limit of games for the contests...
Any chance for this?

I don't see this as being possible at the moment. the arcades upcoming built in contests may have a better chance since extra tables will be needed to do this.

Yes i know... but i won't be able to use the new release until a particular issue (the smf-bridge one) will be solved... So your work could be a good alternative solution...

I still don't think there is a way for the module to control this. The ability to play a game comes from the arcade so the modification to limit play would have to originate in the component.
I understand about the not being able to use the new release, I am reluctant to upgrade for other reasons. If my skills were good enough I'd make this from module to component with its own tables.

i have a big problem. When i make a new tournament....the winner takes a medal, but previous winner of another tournament lose his medal......
what is it: "JAwards medal ID" ? I make a 3 medals....all the same but with diiferent names (1,2 and 3). It doesn't change anything for me because new winer of this contest take away medal from previous winner.
Is there any possibilty to keep medals for everyone who wins a contest?

This version does not have the option to keep the medal. The next version will have the option...I just haven't had the time to upgrade the code.

I added this feature to the J1.5 version, as for AlphaUserPoints integration and I optimized module layout also. Sorry I m'not doing j1.0 as I can't test it but Tinker is used to convert it for j1.0.x and he's doing perfect conversion.

Ps if youlike this module , I also made a CB Hits contest of the month and recently a won PURPS contest of the month (finished but currently under test) based on the same system.

I'll be adding the medal options to the J1.0.x release possibly in a day or two. the alphauserpoints will not be added as it is for J1.5 Only. There is a Karma2 point system available for J1.0, but I don't plan on adding code for that since it can be done via the points bot without altering the existing code.

OK here's a quick update to the J1.0.x version of the module. It allows for temporary or permanent medals to be awarded and guest name fixed. No other additions have been made.
