I know this probably isn't the right place to post this but I think a great feature the Risp shoutbox could do is shout when a new game is added to PUArcade. I'd do it myself, but i'm not that good!

Perhaps it can be helpful anyway...

We probably should make it so that the current PUA shout plugins can trigger on a new game event. Thanks for the suggestion.

As for the plugins - I'll apply the additional code to the risp and smo shoutbox plugins and try to send them over in the next couple of days.

Throw the shout plugins up in the community directory when you update them. That way you can easily update them when you make changes.

Thanks for putting up this plugin. I installed it, however, it has not shouted when I add a new game. I run Joomla 1.5.6, with the latest PUArcade. The shoutbox is Risp, Beta 5.

Which version of the SVN are you using?

You need revision 373 which I think is not the same as the Subscriber prepared file. But I could be wrong.

i suggest ALL shouts be made to use the smo shoutbox, it supports bbcode and makes for better looking shouts

If you install the GA 2.3 release, the new game shouts will work.

Right now, there are plugins to support both SMO and RISP.

i disagree, I think risp looks better and you can use smilies with the plugin yvsmiles. Besides, it's 1.5 native. Also, the new plugins have been changed to reflect the new table that Risp uses.

Anyway, I still do not have the new game shouts working. I am running Joomla 1.5, PUArcade 2.3, and Risp Shoutbox beta 5 RC1. It shouts for new scores, but not new games. It also seems there is a bug that the times are wrong. When someone scores on a game, it always says it was 6 hours ago. My server time is set correctly. I checked over at the Risp website and no one else is having this issue in the forum. So I am assuming that it has to do with the shoutbox announcer plugin. But I'm still looking into it. Am I using the right version to make this work? Can anyone think of something I should try?

i wrote in other thread, my shouts from anouncer produce "1year, 1 month ago". But without that it works perfect, for highscoresand new games!
