PURPS 1.0 has now been made generally available and can be found in the downloads area.

PURPS is a multi-player rock,paper,scissors type game that gives you a quick and easy way to add some great interactivity to your website. PURPS allows your users to challenge each other to a game.

It supports languages, and has a familiar control panel in the administrative area.

Versions are available for both Joomla 1.5 Native as well as Joomla 1.0.

Please give it a shot, and as always, post any issues you encounter here in the forums.

I have problems with my template on joomla 1.5

was ok with no challenge but I just checked agai with 3 pending challenges and my template is destroyed

it seems to be caused by the recent activity table

the template should diplay a right column

hope the screnshot helps

I am guessing this is caused by a language file issue. There can't be any special characters in the language files, so that could be it.

It might be showing errors that are getting supporessed. Do this to see errors:
1. Open the purps php files and comment out the line that says @error_reporting.
2. Set error reporting to maximum in Joomla configuration
3. Revisit the pages, and copy any errors that show up. Then, paste them into a forum post and reverse the above activities.

I tested it out and PU RPS seems to work only in the admin page, I only see the above screens

Tip: Can you create a drop down box to select a user for a challenge

I didn't make it a drop down box, because then it would be easy for bad guys to get the usernames of every person on your site. That is a security risk and everything.

In the future, I might add an "auto complete" type feature, where it will finish a name you start typing.

Also, it would be good to add a link in CB or FB so people can challenge people right from their profiles.
