PUArcade 2.3 & Joomla 1.5 - Saving scores? 2 Months, 1 Week ago

Hi everybody,
First of all, I've to say that this component is extremely wonderful, I've nothing to say more!
I've a problem, I've just downloaded the latest version Arcade 2.3 and installed it, it works fine but it doesn't save scores.
when I click submit, it takes me to the same page of the game without doing nothing.
I know that this version supports joomla 1.5 in legacy mode, and when i tested it on my localhost it works fine without problems. But now, on the real server it just doesn't save any scores for any of the games.
This is the link of my website:
http://www.ce2012.com/component/option,com_puarcade/Itemid,26/
I looked around for a solution or an FAQ but found nothing, I've made sure that the permission of newscore.php is 755.
Any help please?
Thanks much in advance.

I've just figured out the reason of the problem, but I don't know how can i fix it.
It is because of sh404SEF Component enabled with htaccess mode, when i disabled it, it works fine with saving scores.
any help please with how can I fix this conflict?

There is one solution - your game menu item shouldn't be in any sublevel folder. Then it should work. However pragma - how can we fix this problem (also with default games)?
No scores are saved because the saving takes the sef path: www.domain.com/menu1/(sublevel)PUArcademenu
instead of: www.domain.com/(sublevel)PUArcademenu
BTW Pragma - my Slovenian 2.1.3 translation is done - how can I send it to you (it is character encoding sensible)?

Is there maybe a trick, how to make a toplevel menu item that displays in a sublevel to make it work?

There you go - the file is on its way.
Take care of special chars. č, ž and š if they display ok.
You have no idea about our issue here?

I'm afraid I know very little about SEF and SEO, so I don't really understand the problem. I
If someone can explain it a bit more completely, maybe I can help.

Look SEF makes a URL address accordimg to the menu system.
I have a toplevel menu FORUM (hence www.mysite.com/forum) and a sublevel menu GAMES (www.mysite.com/forum/games).
Now when I want to save a result it dont find the two Arcade files because it wants to redirect the scoresaving to www.mysite.com/forum/newscore.php instead of www.mysite.com/newscore.php which would save correctly. Now where to hack arcade files - to force them to save without that FORUM in url?
Did you get my slovenian file?

I went into my sh404SEF configuration and selected "skip" for this component and my high scores started saving right away. Once I did this, top level menu item or sub item made no difference, currently running as a sub item.

Found a temporary fix.
Make a menu item for puarcade ina menu that is nor enabled.
Then make an alias menu item for the first item.
Then the scores should save.
But this will have to be added to the bugtracker I guess!

Yes, I got the file, thanks.
Have you tried putting newscore.php wherever the game is expecting it to be? Such as in the forums folder or whatever?

Hey, great idea. I've created a directory named "Spiele". Now he is finding the newscore.php but the directory is wrong:
| Code: |
Failed opening required '/usr/export/www/hosting/.../Spiele/components/com_puarcade/includes/scores/class.scorehandler.php' (include_path='.:') in /usr/export/www/hosting/tascore/v2/Spiele/newscore.php on line 28
|
Can you tell me what i have to enter in the newscore.php to change this situation?
Line 28:
| Code: |
require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . "/components/com_puarcade/includes/scores/class.scorehandler.php");
|
Sorry, but i'm not into php that much.
