well don't worry it's not so much work
if this keeps on, just make a fresh install of PURPS, install the CB plugin double check everything is fine, then the notifier, check again, and then add the shoutbox or whatever mods.

Most of the time bugs appear with human intervention.

i sent pragma an updated purps with sef and cb links, the other main thing is i added a winning percentage in the leaderboard, and had the sql sort the data by that percentage, so IF the new bit of code makes a new version, it would be nice to have a winning percentage in the cb tab

also, am i the only site that doesnt use the tabbed pane and uses all div with title? because that could be breaking the pua score tab i put out

Steve, I have not tryed your new pua score tab yet, as some said it having problems on j1.5, I will try today and let you know.

i upgraded my cb to the current FREE version, dont have the money to pay for anything newer

i also upgraded my joomla to 1.0.15

now i am seeing that tab problem, i have to work on that

Ok I updated the cb plug purps my stats, it now shows results in challenges like before but also in percentage (thks steve)
get it from the community downloads


btw I don't think ranking the purps leaderboard on % is the best. I mean if a user only plays once and win , he would lead and then stop playing.
I think basing the ranks on 'won' would make people play more...

I'm also thinking about converting my pua contest of the month module in a new purps contest of the month... so that we can have a purps jaward medal

to find the Problem i made this....i deleted all Highscores and unpublished the CB Plugin for PURPS. Since yesterday afternoon the PURPS is running on my Site just together with the Pop-Up Checker. So far every Challenge gets counted correct. I will runn a few more days in this Settings, and then i will publish again the CB Plugin. And then let`s see if it still works correct after publishing CB Plugin

Not sure if this has anything to do with Tina's problem but I was just notified by a user of a challenge not being counted via the cb tab.

the link generated via the component looks like this: http://www.xxx.com/index.php?option=com_purps&Itemid=88889056&tip=rock&go=1&act=challenge&submit=submit&user=BundyRed

while the link from the cb tab looks like this: http://www.xxx.com/index.php?option=com_purps&tip=rock&go=1&act=challenge&submit=submit&user=BundyRed&Itemid=1000114

notice the itemid in the wrong place and incorrect value (keeping the default and not the entered id)
Can this cause the challenge not counted issue?
I'm also having a when a user can not send a challenge due to a pending one existing even though there isn't an active challenge listed in the database.

i get the same issue, i have a few open contests that have no 2nd username

of course, i would say using userid is better, its too easy to get a username that could conflict with sef url and all that

I checked my phpmyadmin in
`jos_purps_active_games`
and I don't have any challenge with any user id missing so I'd say I didn't get this issue

I also noticed that from the purps component page, when you open a new challenge and when having selected the user to challenge you get to a page with a lost Itemid. Can you check?

Steve I agree with you that using userid instead of usernames would probably cause fewer problems

i think thats about the only changes i can see that should affect operation

cahnge url to include userid instead of username

check every link in the component to make sure itemid is used

so far no Problems on my PURPS since i unpublished the CB PLugin. Since 2 Days Members playing it and everything gets counted correct.

If it`s the CB PLugin, then would it be best to post a fixed CB Plugin (if there is one avaiable) to the Downloads-Area instead of fixing the existing one??

Itemid on the page you select your weapon is not lost but it does get moved to the end of the string.

I've edited your code to match the components(moving the Itemid to after com_purps. so far I've gotten no complaints of non counted challenges from users and the pending game issue also seems to be gone. I'll try and get some more testing done on this later

and just saw that it didn`t count the Challenges again when i challenged Users from the CB Plugin

For two Days and more than 100 Challegnes it worked perfect without the CB Plugin. First Challenge with the Use of the Plugin and the Challenge didn`t get scored.

it's easy to check, use phpmyadmin and see in the jos_purps_active_games table if any 'challenged_id' is zero

it's weird but the only zero I found was when I changed the itemmid from the very end to just after com_purps...
So I totally removed the Itemid in the challenge url. Btw, in the component page, my 'your challenge has been sent' page has no itemid:

index.php?option=com_purps&tip=rock&go=1&act=challenge&submit=submit&user=samanthabigtits
and the links below (return to menu...) have no Itemid...
Is it just me? or just joomla 1.5
it seems that that on here, the itemid is not lost...

I think your right Tinker, it might be that there must be nothing in the url after the challenged username.
