For those of you that don't know, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, or EFF is "a nonprofit group of passionate people ? lawyers, technologists, volunteers, and visionaries ? working to protect your digital rights." 

Some of the notable things they have worked on recently have included Electronic Voting, DMCA, Patriot Act, and all of these lawsuits that the RIAA and MPAA are bringing against scores of John Doe defendents.  Now, right wingers, this is good for you too.  They aren't necessarily looking to abolish all these things, but they want to make sure that there are the proper checks and balances, and that as technology emerges it gets a fair legal shake.  That is good for everyone.
